Excellez offers individualized teaching to maximize your child’s potential to achieve higher grades and obtain top scores in standardized tests. Your child benefits from the extra-help provided by one-to-one live tutoring.   

At school, one of the main measures of a student’s success is the grades he obtains. We at Excellez, realize the importance of excelling at school and among peers.  

We use a four-pronged approach to help your child succeed at school and achieve his goals: Assess Needs, Ingrain Fundamental Concepts, Provide Feedback and Monitor Performance. 

Assess Needs

We at Excellez understand that each child is different and so are their skill levels. When your child becomes a part of Excellez, our teachers work with your child to assess his education and skill level. This initial evaluation does not include any intimidating your child with standardized tests. The evaluation is a dialogue between you, the counselor, the teacher, and your child that drives the pace of the learning on each topic based on the need of your child.

Based on the initial evaluation of your child, we prepare an individually tailored curriculum just for your child. Your child starts at a learning level that is appropriate for him; it allows him to progress at his own pace. After mastering current grade level skills, we take it up a notch and challenge the next grade level.

Ingrain Fundamental Concepts

At Excellez we believe in sustained learning. We believe that learning is sustainable and life long when students learn the fundamental concepts. Our teaching methodology is uniquely designed to provide special emphasis on the fundamentals. To further help your child grasp each concept taught during a session, the teacher will give appropriate homework to your child to be completed after the end of each session. Your child can submit this homework electronically to the teacher within 2 days of the session period.  

Provide Feedback

At Excellez we believe the providing feedback to students on an ongoing basis builds a constructive learning environment and also demystifies the learning process. The teacher provides feedback on your child’s homework and discusses it with him in the next session, making the concepts ingrained.  Each of the online session is recorded and you and your child have access to it. This helps your child go back to a previously recorded session to refresh some of the previously learned concepts. The teacher moves on to the next concept only when your child is comfortable tackling the previous concept. 

Monitor Performance

Your child has an education counselor from the very first day of his enrollment. The education counselor closely monitors your child’s progress and follows it up with the respective teachers on a daily basis, ensuring that your child acquires the skills that are needed. As a parent, you also receive bi-monthly reports from the teacher on your child’s performance. You can also set up a separate time out of your child’s session time to discuss your child’s performance at any time with the teacher or the education counselor.
